It’s hard to remember after 20 seasons of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, but at one point, the late Robert Kardashian was the only famous member of the family — and it was because of his friendship with O.J. Simpson.

After the former NFL player was arrested in connection to the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, in 1994, he enlisted Kardashian to become part of his legal team. Though O.J. was eventually acquitted of all charges in his criminal trial, the University of Southern California alum later expressed doubt that his friend was truly innocent, telling Barbara Walters in 1996 that he had “doubts” about his former client’s exoneration.

Kardashian died of esophageal cancer in September 2003, but his involvement with the trial has followed the rest of his family ever since.

The late attorney married Kris Jenner in 1978 and the former couple went on to welcome daughters Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian, along with son Rob Kardashian. Jenner divorced her first husband in 1991.

Despite their split, the producer remained close with Robert and their mutual friends the Simpsons. After Nicole’s murder, however, Jenner made it clear that she was not happy with her ex-husband’s involvement in the case.

“The only thing I discuss with [Robert] is the children, we just keep it about the kids,” the momager told Good Morning America in September 1995. “Because I think what would happen is our opinions are so obviously black and white, that what is that going to do?”

Speaking about the situation during a 2009 appearance on Dr. Phil, the reality star said that the trial and its aftermath were “devastating” for her family. “You have Robert Kardashian on the defense team defending [O.J.’s] team, and you have me, my girlfriend’s dead,” she explained. “It was a very difficult situation and what we needed to do was band together as a family and decide that this isn’t going to tear us apart.”

Kim, who was 13 at the time of O.J.’s arrest, recalled that she and her sisters felt torn between their parents, who were obviously in disagreement over the trial.

“Kourtney and I would go to the trial with my dad, and we’d sit on one side, and I remember looking over and my mom was on the other side sitting next to Nicole’s parents, and there was so much tension,” she said during an April 2009 episode of E! True Hollywood Story. “If we’re siding with this one, my mom and [Caitlyn Jenner] were upset, and if we’re over here, then my dad’s upset.”

VIP in the crowd! As Harry Styles continued his “Love on Tour” concerts with a third sold-out show in New York City, he was sweetly supported by girlfriend Olivia Wilde.

“Olivia was nonstop dancing on the floor at Harry’s show at Madison Square Garden,” an eyewitness exclusively tells Us Weekly of the 37-year-old Booksmart director’s concert attendance on Saturday, October 16.

The source notes that Wilde donned a pink pantsuit — which coordinated with her 27-year-old beau’s outfit from his Fine Line album cover shoot — with a white tank top underneath. She later took off her blazer as she danced, “going wild” with two of her guy friends.

“She put the blazer back on when Harry came to her side of the stage and was dancing throughout the entire set,” the insider adds. “She did a choreographed dance with her friends at one point.”

The O.C. alum first sparked fan speculation that she would attend the Madison Square Garden concert after the couple was spotted together in the city on Friday, October 15, per photos published by the Daily Mail.

Wilde — who has been linked with the former One Direction crooner since January — previously attended several of his other “Love on Tour” shows, including his Las Vegas opener and recent stop in Raleigh, North Carolina.

“Olivia arrived once Harry started singing ‘Golden.’ She was standing the entire time off to the side,” an eyewitness told Us of her attendance at Styles’ September 4 gig in Vegas, noting that she stood beside his manager Jeff Azoff, Azoff’s wife Glenne and stylist Harry Lambert.

“She was very happy for him and cheered him on,” the source noted at the time. “She was hardcore dancing and clearly was very supportive. She recorded him from her phone when he was singing ‘Cherry.’”

Nearly one month later, eagle-eyed fans noted via social media that Wilde also attended his Raleigh show on October 12.

The “Kiwi” musician’s Saturday concert marked his third show at MSG, previously performing during two back-to-back shows on October 3 and 4. While the director didn’t attend either of those shows, her parents (Andrew and Leslie Cockburn) and her brother (Charlie Cockburn) went in her place.

While the England native didn’t directly acknowledge his girlfriend’s family during the show, an insider told Us at the time that they seemed to be “big fans of just like Olivia,” claiming that he blew a kiss their way mid-performance.

“It’s very obvious they’re supportive and adore him,” the insider noted, revealing Wilde’s parents snapped photos and videos of the “Watermelon Sugar” singer’s set.

The New York native’s MSG attendance came on the heels of the revelation that she’s since relocated to the British city where her beau calls home.

“I’m finally driving a car. I feel really good about it,” Wilde revealed, discussing her eco-friendly habits and current living situation during a Vogue magazine profile, published on Tuesday, October 12. “I usually was in New York and not needing a car, but now that I don’t live there anymore and I live between L.A. and London, driving is now a thing where I’m like, ‘How am I going to participate in future innovation in a good way?’ I’ve been driving an electric car. And I’m like, ‘Ah, this does make me feel like a better human being.’”

No awkward moments here! The moment Miles Teller first saw Keleigh Sperry in May 2013, he immediately was drawn to her.

“We both had mutual friends of the [Black Keys],” the Pennsylvania native told Vogue in September 2019 of the pair’s first meeting at a party for the band. “Keleigh had caught my eye early in the night, and we talked. I didn’t think it went well, but after a few more attempts, I got her to dance with me, and a week later, we went on a date. After we met, I knew she was The One.”

Though, the California native remembered that first meeting differently: “He was so charming and charismatic,” the model told the outlet at the time. “I adored him from the first moment we met.”

After dating for nearly six years, the Footloose actor proposed to his longtime girlfriend in August 2017 while they were on a safari in Africa. At the time, he instructed their tour guide to tie a red rose to a tree with a note that featured both of their initials along with their anniversary and proposal dates.

“[We] walked up to this nice, scenic vista having coffee,” the That Awkward Moment actor recalled on Live With Kelly and Ryan in October 2017. “She looked over and saw a rose and thought somebody had died. Which, whatever. I said, ‘Today was the last day you woke up as my girlfriend.’”

Nearly two years later, the pair wed during a romantic ceremony in Maui, Hawaii. The pair quickly decided on the Hawaiian wedding destination since Sperry’s family had spent every summer there.

“Miles started joining us on vacations, and we fell in love with it together,” she explained to Vogue after the nuptials. “We both felt happiest there and wanted it to be a big part of our lives forever.”

Since then, the pair’s relationship has continued to flourish, as he gushed about his wife during a December 2020 interview with Men’s Health.

“We just hang out,” he told the outlet of the pair’s quarantine plans amid the coronavirus pandemic. “She keeps me calm. It’s pretty great. I’m with her now from when I wake up to the moment I go to bed. We have a lot of friends whose relationships got put under a magnifying glass during these times, but we are really great. Once you get married and you make that ultimate commitment, life is just a lot less stressful. You just know that person is always going to be there.”

The Opeth: The Devil’s Orchard actress, for her part, has frequently shared snaps with her husband via social media. In May 2021, she posted a pic of the Top Gun: Maverick star via Instagram while they were at dinner in Hawaii and captioned it, “My whole ❤️.”

Chemistry on and off the ballroom floor! Following Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgessshocking elimination from Dancing With the Stars, the couple hasn’t let that stop them from enjoying their burgeoning romance.

“1 year of accepting me in a way I’ve never been loved before ❤️ #damnimlucky,” the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, 48, captioned a close-up snap with the Australia native, 36, on Saturday, October 16, while celebrating their first anniversary.

The former DWTS champ, for her part, gushed about Green via her Instagram Story on Sunday, October 17, alongside a snap of the couple kissing. “He doesn’t ‘make me happy,’ I was already happy before him,” she wrote. “But holy s–t does he amplify the f–k out of my happy. #1year.”

One week earlier, the Masked Singer alum and his professional dancer girlfriend were the first couple eliminated — alongside Bachelor Matt James and Lindsay Arnold — during the October 12 episode after performing Disney-inspired routines to “Someday My Prince Will Come” from Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs and “He’s a Pirate” from Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

“Thank you so much, everybody, that, like, supported us and voted for us and was there for us,” Green said via Instagram Story on Wednesday, October 13. “It was really a great experience for us, not just with the people we met, but with the fans that supported us and just getting to dance with each other.”

Despite controversy that the pair were salty over their exit and refused to do interviews post-show, they reasserted that they enjoyed the experience.

“We got to be real-life prince and princess. We have some amazing costumes we’re going to try and keep, the kids [Noah, 9, Bodhi, 7, and Journey, 4, with whom Green shares with ex Megan Fox] are going to absolutely love them,” Burgess added in the social media footage. “I can’t wait for them to see our Disney dances. And it’s all love and it is all good and we did not skip out on press. … For now, we’re just going to enjoy each other today and enjoy not having anything to do rather than that.”

Ahead of their show departure, the couple received criticism from the judges for showing too much PDA on the dance floor.

“I never thought the waltz was going to come. It was so much kissing and cuddling and messing about,” DWTS judge Len Goodman said after the pair completed their Snow White number. “I would’ve liked to see a much more traditional waltz.”

One week prior, the DWTS pro slammed similar comments from earlier weeks in the ABC competition as she posted rehearsal photos of the pair.

“For those that say we kiss too much, here’s a full 🍑 grab instead,” the dancer wrote via Instagram on October 4. “But for real though, we kissed once in the first show that’s it. … This isn’t a showmance, this is real life love and it’s a part of our journey. Every step. Every struggle. Every success.”

The couple first went public with their romance after a PDA-packed Hawaiian vacation in December 2020, weeks after Burgess hinted she was dating someone.

“It’s been really awesome,” the professional dancer exclusively told Us at the time. “I actually am not on the market anymore. But it’s very new and very, you know, it’s dating, essentially. No one’s calling us a relationship yet.”

One month later, the pair made their Instagram debut and have since continued to strengthen their bond, though they aren’t rushing into the next stages.

“Just because we’re in love doesn’t mean it’s for sure that we’re going to make it to the kids stage,” the ballroom dancer exclusively told Us Weekly on October 7, while discussing her new PETA campaign. “We hope so. We hope it’s the endgame. We want it to be endgame, but both of us can’t promise those things early on, especially to [his] kids.”

Though, early on in their relationship Burgess did broach the subject of a potential marriage with the “… With Brian Austin Green” podcast host.

“That was a deal-breaker for me,” she explained to Us, describing the discussion the “grown-up thing” to do. “I was really grateful that he was open to that. He even brought it up. He said with the right person then yes. … And I do want marriage and babies, what a fairy tale. So I needed to know.”

Although the late Princess Diana was set to wed Prince Charles in 1981, she was already concerned about his bond with Duchess Camilla, royal commentator, Julie Montagu exclusively claimed Us Weekly.

Princess Diana Through the Years

“I think the fixation was always there in the back of her mind, but of course, I suspect it really started on the wedding day itself,” Montagu shared with Us on Tuesday, October 12 while promoting her appearance in CNN’s Diana series. “The fixation started on the wedding day because we know that Diana looked out at the enormous congregation with thousands of people. … And she saw [Camilla], she looked for her and in one sense, it was looking at her saying, ‘Right, he’s mine. I’ve got him.’”

Montagu explained that for Diana, trying to find Camilla, 74, in the crowd was a power move ahead of her nuptials with Charles, 72.

“She wanted to make sure that she clocked Camilla in that congregation so that she could feel comforted by the fact that she’s at the vicar and Camilla’s in a pew,” she added.

The late Princess of Wales tied the knot to the Prince of Wales in 1981. They separated in 1992 after countless rumors of marital issues, and their divorce was announced four years later.

According to Montagu, who has a YouTube series titled American Viscountess, during which she visits some of Britain’s most spectacular homes, Camilla had a constant presence in Diana’s life during the philanthropist’s marriage.

“Camilla was always in that circle at the same parties from the very, very beginning of their marriage until obviously till the demise of their marriage,” she noted. “So she was always there.”

In 1997, one year after her divorce from Charles, Diana died at age 36 in a car crash. She left behind her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, whom she shared with her ex-husband.

Seven years after Diana’s tragic passing, Charles and Camilla announced their plans to wed. At the time, there was speculation that the couple had extramarital affairs during Charles’ marriage to Diana and Camilla’s relationship with her husband, Andrew Parker Bowles.

Montagu believes that Diana was “absolutely devastated” when she learned that Charles and Camilla started seeing each other after her separation from her husband at the time.

“She has put her whole life into this marriage, and she’s also given up her whole life for this marriage. She has given up so much, she has done what she has been asked to do, and then to find out that this affair has been going on for years behind her back would have been absolutely heartbreaking, devastating, and traumatizing,” Montagu detailed. “I’m sure it would have been devastating for her, but maybe not quite as hard hitting into the guts as knowing that it was Camilla.”

Diana, the six-part series, airs on CNN Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.

Holy hot trailer, Batman! Robert Pattinson‘s Bruce Wayne and Zöe Kravitz‘s Selina Kyle got fans excited in the new trailer for The Batman, released Saturday, October 16 at DC’s Fandome event.

Selina Kyle Is Here! ‘The Batman’ Debuts First Look at Zoe Kravitz’s Character

In the second annual virtual event for DC Comics devotees, stars from across the movies, TV shows and comics came together to deliver breaking news and drop new content. Pattinson, 35, and Kravitz, 32, were on hand with director Matt Reeves to debut the new trailer for The Batman.

“Fear is a tool,” Pattinson says in Bruce Wayne’s American accent. “When that light goes up in the sky, it’s not just a call. It’s a warning.”

The trailer highlighted his relationship with Kravitz’s Catwoman, AKA Selina Kyle. “I can take care of myself,” she promises the young superhero.

Selina appears in various disguises throughout The Batman trailer. She wears her dark hair in a pixie cut, shows off a long bob in one scene and rocks a red wig in another. Of course, it’s more exciting when her disguise is the Catwoman suit. She and Batman bond while in costume.

“Maybe we’re not so different. Who are you under there?” she asks him.

“I’m vengeance,” he says.

Before the preview debuted, Pattinson explained that his version is “radically different from anything we have seen in Batman movies before.”

He continued, “He’s really working out this rage. All his fights seem so personal.”

Apparently, that’s what draws Bruce to Selina, even as he withdraws from everyone else around him. “Catwoman really wants to fight for those who don’t have someone else to fight for them,” Kravitz explained. “That’s where she and Batman really connect.”

Though Catwoman has appeared on the big screen with performances from Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry, Reeves and the High Fidelity star promised this portrayal hasn’t even been shown in the comics.

Stars as Superheroes

“There are a lot of iconic Selina Kyle aspects to the story, but I don’t think [anything has depicted her] in this way,” Reeves said.

“I obviously understand the gravity of a character like this,” Kravitz explained. The California native added that her goal was to “try and create a real human being. I don’t want her to be an idea. I want her to be a real human being in a real situation in a real city trying to survive.”

Ahead of the Warner Bros. fan event where the trailer debuted, director Matt Reeves dropped a few visual teases on social media. In addition to new character posters showing Batman and the Riddler (Paul Dano), Reeves also shared a photo of Kravitz as Selina Kyle on Friday, October 15. The Big Little Lies star wasn’t in her Catwoman suit. Selina instead wore a white tank top and a blunt lob hairstyle.

Catwoman and Batman. Warner Bros.

The simple movie still earned lots of approval online. Even Pfeiffer, who played Catwoman in 1992’s Batman Returns, shared her excitement, commented on Kravitz’s Instagram post with a cat with heart eyes emoji.

The latest trailer is the longest sneak peek since the first The Batman trailer in August 2020. The clip showed the Twilight star beating up a criminal. “Who the hell are you supposed to be?” a man asks. After beating him up, Pattinson’s Batman responds with the line heard in the latest trailer: “I’m vengeance.”

Unlike Ben Affleck’s caped crusader, who will return in next year’s The Flash movie, the Tenet star’s movie will focus on Bruce’s beginnings as Batman, inspired by the Year One comic books.

In addition to Pattinson, Kravitz and Dano, the Batman cast also includes Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Jim Gordon, John Turturro as mobster Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as attorney Gil Colson, Barry Keoghan as Officer Stanley Merkel, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennywise and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman has become highly anticipated after many delays. The film was initially set to be released in June 2021, but the COVID-19 pandemic temporarily stopped filming. After filming resumed, cast and crew members testing positive for coronavirus further delayed production. Filming finally wrapped up in March, but the release date was pushed once more to March 4, 2022.

“Pregnancy loss awareness week you say?? I know. I feel like I never let you forget it, either, the Cravings founder, 35, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, October 16. “But I was going through BTS of cookbook making with @adeenasussman and came across this photo, taken soon after losing our little jack.”

“As I’ve said before, I absolutely threw myself into writing, quickly, to distract from the trauma, the pain, the grief,” Teigen explained in her post. “But not all days were productive. Many were…this. Days I felt suctioned to the couch with barely an appetite to even taste our recipes. It was during this time that i truly believed Adeena was sent by god herself. When I tell [you] this book saved me, i only kind of mean that. It was Adeena. Love u guys. X.”

The Cravings: All Together author further shared details on her heartbreaking emotions at the time as she commented, “Phew zoom in on that face. 😢.”

As the Utah native noted in her social media upload, her Saturday message is hardly the first time she’s been outspoken about suffering a pregnancy loss. Nearly one month earlier, she shared a candid note alongside a selfie of her postpartum body.

“It’s really weird when you lose a baby and your body gets paused in time,” the Deal or No Deal alum wrote on September 18. “Usually you’d gain your ‘yumyums I’m praaaagnant!’ weight, then put on the weight of your little bebe. Then, ideally, you’d have your baby. And you would feed it from your boobs and your body would know to charge through and do what it does to get you back into fighting shape, whatever that may be, for however long it takes (F—K a snap-back).”

She continued, “But man. When you lose a baby halfway through, your body just pauses. It has nothing to do. No one to feed. And you’re just…stuck. Stuck with saggy boobs that were prepping to be milk bags, a belly that was ready to bake. I would be lying if I said this did not majorly suck. Not only are you ummmm extremely, diabolically sad at what could have been, but you have this daily reminder every time you look in the goddamn mirror.”

“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before,” Teigen wrote via Instagram at the time, alongside black-and-white hospital photos. “We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.”

She concluded in her note, “To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you.”

Another glorious morning! Twenty-eight years after Hocus Pocus was released, star Vinessa Shaw has fondly looked back at her childhood role in the film and even speculated potential sequel ideas.

‘Hocus Pocus’ Cast: Where Are They Now?

Read article

“I haven’t heard anything,” the Blazing World actress, 45, told Entertainment Tonight on Friday, October 15 of the upcoming Hocus Pocus 2 sequel. “I know, it’s so disappointing [to hear]. I would love to do the sequel. It would be so much fun. I think there’s just a different storyline with younger people, but why can’t we all come back in some way?”

The original film, directed by Kenny Ortega, followed teenaged Max [Omri Katz] as he mistakenly awakened the witchy trio when his family moved to Salem, Massachusetts. Following Max’s arrival in town, he was captivated by local Allison, who later became his girlfriend.

The California native also weighed in where she saw Allison’s future heading: “I feel like she and Max are still together, but I think Allison’s from Salem and he always wants to be in California. I think they did some sort of compromise and maybe she’s in Salem when the witches come back, you know, visiting her mom or something.”

Shaw still calls her initial filming experience was a “dream come true.”

“It basically was everything I could have dreamed of in a movie like that and especially I also watched The Wizard of Oz over and over again as like a basically five and 6-year-old,” she told ET. “So this felt like a modern version of The Wizard of Oz for me. It was [one of] my favorite projects I’ve worked on.”

After years of fan speculation, Disney+ confirmed in May that a sequel to the Halloween classic was officially in the works with the return of Bette Midler (Winifred), Sarah Jessica Parker (Sarah) and Kathy Najimy (Mary). The flick is set for a 2022 release on the streaming platform, directed by Anne Fletcher.

Per the official description for the new movie, “Three young women accidentally bring the Sanderson sisters back to modern-day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on the world.”

Shaw previously starred alongside Midler, 75, Parker, 56, Najimy, 64, Katz, 45, and Thora Birch in the Disney cult classic. After the success of the 1993 film, the cast has been vocal about their desire to return for a follow-up picture.

“I heard that it’s going to be fabulous,” the Beaches star exclusively told Us Weekly in October 2019. “I hope they hire me because I want to fly again in the worst way.”

Nearly one year later, the And Just Like That star further teased that the three actresses were keen to play the wicked sisters once more.

“I think that it’s something that Bette and Kathy and I are … very hospitable to the idea,” the Ohio native told host Bruce Bozz on Sirius XM’s Quarantined with Bruce in May 2020. “I think for a long time, people were talking about it as if people were moving forward with it in a real way but we were unaware of it.”

Parker continued at the time, “I think now we’ve gotten to the point where we all, like, agreed publicly to the right people, [saying], ‘Yes! That would be a very, very fun idea.’ So, we’ll see. We’ll see what the future holds.”

There’s no town like Riverdale, where cult leaders, moth men, serial killers and maple syrup wars are regular occurrences.

At least the show’s core four — Betty (Lili Reinhart), Veronica (Camila Mendes), Archie (KJ Apa) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) — don’t have to deal with high school on top of all that anymore. In season 5, the show jumped forward in time seven years, with the Riverdale High graduates having gone their separate ways. Jughead moved to New York City, Betty went to the FBI Academy in Virginia, Veronica married Chad (Chris Mason) and Archie went off to war. When the town of Riverdale ran into even more problems than usual, they didn’t hesitate to return to save it.

Season 6 will almost certainly continue with the time jump, but it’s hard to guess what else might happen as it starts so soon after season 5. Because of coronavirus-related production delays, season 5 aired in two parts, with the second part set to wrap up just weeks before season 6 begins.

“I will say that we’re definitely picking up on a lot of the emotional relationship stories in season 6,” showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told Decider in August 2021. “So, a lot of the friendships and relationships and redefinition of relationships that we get to at the end of season 5 [will] continue into season 6.”

That’s a relatively vague statement, but it does hint at the possibility of a continued friendship between Betty and Tabitha Tate (Erinn Westbrook), who’s been helping Betty as she searches for her missing sister, Polly (Tiera Skovbye).

“We didn’t want to tell a traditional love triangle where Betty and Tabitha were sort of wary or jealous of each other,” Aguirre-Sacasa explained. “We felt like them being together as friends and trying to find this person that they both care about would be really, really cool. And I’m really happy to say that we continue that friendship into subsequent episodes.”

After season 5 wrapped, Aguirre-Sacasa teased the next season with a long series of very interesting emojis, including an alien, a clown, a tornado and a tidal wave.

“Really excited about our next batch of episodes,” he wrote via Instagram in June 2021. “They’re some of the best we’ve done. And after that, a break. And after that…💥🚀💋🔥💃🏾👯‍♀️🌪🤡👽👀👫👨🏼‍🤝‍👨🏽👠🕷🐍🦂🦋🐀🍒🍔❤️‍🩹💍🤰🏼🌊🎰.”

The only solution is to make like Betty and Jughead and start sleuthing. Keep scrolling to find out everything we know about Riverdale season 6:

Keep an eye out for the Bat-Signal! Robert Pattinson’s The Batman is finally hitting theaters in 2022.

Fans first caught a glimpse of the Twilight actor’s brooding take on the comic book character in an August 2020 teaser for the superhero film which was written and directed by Matt Reeves. In the nearly three-minute clip, Pattinson’s young Bruce Wayne is a total emo kid who dons smudged black eyeliner and listens to Nirvana while seeking revenge for the loss of his parents.

“Who the hell are you supposed to be?” a man asks. After beating him up, Pattinson’s Batman responds, “I’m vengeance.”

The Lighthouse star is the twelfth actor to play the Caped Crusader since Lewis Wilson first donned the suit for 1943’s Batman. The star-studded list of former Batmen include Michael Keaton, George Clooney, Val Kilmer, Ben Affleck and The Dark Knight’s Christian Bale. However, Pattinson hoped to put a new spin on Bruce Wayne’s alter ego.

“Batman’s not a hero,” he told The New York Times in October 2019. “He’s a complicated character. I don’t think I could ever play a real hero — there’s always got to be something a little bit wrong. I think it’s because one of my eyes is smaller than the other one.”

After Pattinson’s casting was made official in May 2019, fans expressed their concerns that the British actor wasn’t right for the role, but that criticism never concerned him much. “To be honest, it was less vitriolic than I was expecting,” he told Variety in September 2019 in regards to the online hate. “It’s much more fun when you’re an underdog. There’s no expectation of you.”

Comic book fans might disagree with the Good Time star, since there is always a little expectation and a lot of excitement for a new Batman movie. Like his star, Reeves wanted to do something a little different for his take on the Defender of Gotham City. He wanted to leave theatergoers in tears.

“I felt that we’ve seen lots of origin stories,” the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes director explained in a 2021 featurette for The Batman, explaining why he wanted to tackle a story that featured a young Bruce Wayne, before he really became the superhero fans know.

Reeves added, “You can have it be very practical. But I also thought it could be the most emotional Batman movie ever made.”

Honeymoon magic! After Meghan King wed Cuffe Owens, the Mr. and Mrs. took a vacation to enjoy their newlywed bliss in the great outdoors.

“Out here in the woods living my best life,” the Real Housewives of Orange County alum, 37, wrote via Instagram on Friday, October 15, alongside a makeup-free selfie as she drank a cup of coffee. “Don’t worry, I’m still a little bit fancy, but discovering myself over the past couple years has led me to this place of complete and utter stripped down fulfillment: Fulfillment within myself and fulfillment/validation from the universe.”

The reality TV personality — who left RHOC in 2017 — continued in her post, “Working on myself will never stop but becoming happy with the cards I was dealt evolved into finding an abundance of love I didn’t know was possible. Sending everyone that same love today. 💫”

Following her reflective post, the Missouri native shared an array of snaps from the couple’s honeymoon in Whitefish, Montana via Instagram Stories, starting with a pic of the couple’s luggage, writing, “Four of these are mine. Hmm,” as she circled her three roller suitcases and small backpack.

Next up, the “Intimate Knowledge” podcast cohost donned a pair of jeans and Timberland boots as they drove throughout the country, set to Britney Spears’ “Gimme More.” Alongside a heart-eyes emoji poll for her followers, she captioned the footage, “Is this your type of honeymoon too?”

Throughout her social media footage, the mother of three — she shares Aspen, 4, and twins Hayes and Hart, both 3, with ex-husband Jim Edmonds — gushed over the surroundings as she took in the scenery.

“Guys, check this out,” King said in another Story slide. “We are in Glacier National Park and this is our view from our cabin. Are you kidding me?”

The University of Mississippi alum wed the 42-year-old attorney during an intimate wedding ceremony in Pennsylvania at the home of his parents, Jack and Valerie Owens. The tight guest list also included the groom’s uncle and aunt, President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden.

“Our wedding was about two things for us,” King told Brides shortly after the festivities. “Our love for and commitment to each other, and our family — each of our families, and the new very large and very tight family that we were bonding together by getting married. That’s it.”

Weeks prior, the Resale Royalty alum went Instagram official with her beau, writing on September 25 alongside a pic of the pair canoodling, “Trying my best to avoid any cheesy introductions like ‘my main squeeze’ … so just meet my man. ❤️.”

The duo initially matched on a dating app earlier that month and instantaneously were drawn to one another.

“We connected on a dating app, texted for a day or two, then spent five straight hours on the phone the first time we spoke,” she recalled to Brides. “By the time that call ended, Cuffe was booked and packed for a flight to St. Louis that took off in about eight hours. Within a week, we were back on the East Coast, meeting his family, and starting to plan our future together. We didn’t leave each other’s side for weeks.”

Drinking to love! Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans’ romance began with a meet-cute worthy of a rom-com and they haven’t stopped making fans swoon since getting together.

The “Peter Pan” singer found her man through music — after cohosting an award show in his native Australia in 2016. Tequila shots after a successful show is what ultimately sealed the deal for the pair and on their wedding day in December 2017, the couple toasted with tequila alongside their guests in Mexico.

The duo’s romance hasn’t been without its hiccups, however, with Ballerini previously joking that Evans burned the pancakes while asking her to marry him in December 2016.

“Loving him has been the greatest gift of my life. And now I get to do it for life,” she wrote via Instagram at the time after trolling the “Love Is Real” crooner for his kitchen proposal.

When Evans released his Things That We Drink To album in October 2018, he revealed that a lot of the songs paid homage to his relationship with the “Half of My Hometown” singer.

“It’s my story. It’s leaving behind everything and everyone you know to chase down a Country Music dream on the other side of the world. It’s the excitement of the unknown, its the fun, it’s the loneliness & it’s the struggle,” he wrote via Instagram at the time. “Its losing someone and finding the strength to keep your head up and make them proud. It’s meeting a girl, falling hopelessly, and marrying the love of your life.”

The “Hole in the Bottle” songstress later revealed that she had an “instant connection” with Evans, which played a part in their whirlwind romance.

“I’ve always loved the idea of relationships and love and all that, but I wasn’t sure I wanted to do the marriage thing,” Ballerini told Access Hollywood in August 2020. “My parents got divorced so I was kind of always really aware of that. As soon as I met him, he was just careful with the way that I love. And I always felt very safe loving him.”

Three years into their marriage, Evans gushed over his wife via Instagram. “Best 3 years of my life. Luckiest guy in the world. Happy Anniversary baby,” he wrote alongside a cozy couple snap in December 2020.

Nearly one year later, the “Day Drunk” crooner praised Ballerini for bringing out the “artist and poet” in him in celebration of her birthday in September 2021. The “I Quit Drinking” singer then returned the favor by pointing out a sweet gesture her husband did on her special day.

“It’s the running through a restaurant with a dozen roses today for me 😍,” she replied.

Brittany Matthews’ Best Clap Backs in Defense of Patrick Mahomes

Speaking up. Brittany Matthews is always ready to defend her love, Patrick Mahomes, whether from trolls, refs or even a major network.

The dedicated duo’s connection goes back more than a decade. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and the Brittany Lynne Fitness owner were high school sweethearts who grew close as freshmen in 2011. The Texans stayed together through college and moved to Missouri together after Mahomes was signed to play for the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs. They got engaged in September 2020 and welcomed daughter Sterling in February 2021.

Through it all, the fitness guru has been a supportive partner. “Not how we wanted it to end, but 15 played his heart out and I’m always and forever proud of him in everything he does!” she shared in February 2021 after her love lost Super Bowl LV. “Now let’s have a baby.”

Matthews isn’t always sweet and saccharine when showing her support. The Kansas City women’s soccer team owner isn’t afraid of a little confrontation. When SportsCenter tweeted a picture of a frustrated Mahomes when the Chiefs were down during the 2021 Super Bowl, Matthews called them out — and left a flirty comment for her fiancé.

“Y’all are 🗑🗑🗑 for this too, but he looks damn good to me😍🔥,” she tweeted at the time.

That protective spirit extends to her whole family. After Sterling was born, Matthews told followers that she was already in full mama bear mode. She was worried about publishing photos of the newborn daughter for the world to see.

“We will share photos of her when we feel the time is right,” she wrote via Instagram days after giving birth. “I know the Internet will instantly take the photos of her and share everywhere so just preparing myself for my newborn baby girl to be shared to the world. Right now we are just soaking in every minute with her.”

Five months later, she and Mahomes shared the first photos of their daughter’s face.

Unsurprisingly, the businesswoman isn’t here for trolls, which she made clear in July 2020. “I wish, that every person that made a dumb ass/hurtful/rude comment to someone on social media, that I could just sit them down, look them in their eyes & say what the heck is wrong with you, what are you doing?” she tweeted.

“It’s not good,” the “Voices” singer, 37, exclusively told Us Weekly recently of daughter Jolie, 5, and Jace, 2, hearing her disagree with the former professional football player, 34. “It’s not healthy. And that’s one thing that we have done a great job on.”

While sharing more of her parenting dos and don’ts, the One Tree Hill alum told Us that she never says “yes” to her children after Caussin has already said “no.”

The former couple tied the knot in May 2015 in Virginia and battled multiple cheating scandals ahead of their April split. The former athlete first made headlines for his sex addiction in 2016, and Kramer doesn’t plan to “shield” Jolie and Jace from reading about his ups and downs.

“They’re going to get old enough to Google,” the Michigan native told Us. “They’re so smart. [I’ll] let them ask questions and be open to explaining [our] past.”

Kramer previously told Us exclusively about her and the Virginia native’s plan to “sit [Jolie] down” to spill the beans, explaining, “We’ve definitely talked about [doing] it when Jolie gets to the age where she can Google. I don’t know what age that’s going to be.”

The Dancing With the Stars alum added at the time: “I have someone that I know, her dad cheated on her mom and they’re still married. She told me how they did it. They sat her down and it was like, ‘Hey, this is what Daddy did. But Daddy loves Mommy so much.’”

Now that she and Caussin have called it quits, the exes’ eldest is more aware of her parents’ divorce than Jace is.

“Jolie knows and she’s kind of telling everyone, which kind of breaks my heart,” Kramer told Extra in May. “She’s like, ‘Daddy and Mommy have different houses.’ They’ve always had both of us. Both of us are essentially stay-at-home parents, so I think that was really hard on [Jace]. I think now that we’re getting into a good parenting schedule, they’ll be OK.”

Bachelor Nation pals forever! Fresh off the October finale of Bachelor in Paradise season 7, the cast has come out of hiding for a night on the town with their fellow show alums — including past couples and fan-favorites.

Bachelor Nation Stars Who Found Best Friends on the Shows

“On a scale of 1-10 how weird is Bachelor Nation 😂,” Blake Horstmann, who previously appeared on BiP season 6, shared a group snap via Instagram on Friday, October 15. He also included the hashtags “trytonotmakethedatingtreeonthispic.” “thomasistall” and “theansweristoomanyzeros” in his post.

In the photo, taken at Blended Festival in San Diego, California, Horstmann, 32, is seen hanging out with his ex Becca Kufrin and her new love, Thomas Jacobs. Jacobs, 29, for his part, also reunited with his former TV flame, Katie Thurston. Abigail Heringer, Noah Erb, Hannah Godwin and fiancé Dylan Barbour, Casandra Suarez and John Hersey also attended the festivities.

In response to the Bachelorette season 14 alum’s question on his social media post, several of the other attendees and Bachelor fan-favorites commented their answers.

Thurston, 30, for her part, added, “10. Solid,” while Elyse Dehlbom wrote, “Lol 10 of course.”

The Colorado native later shared the same group snap onto his Instagram Story, commenting, “This isn’t weird.” Then, the Bachelorette season 17 lead reposted it onto her Instagram, writing, “Small cult of weirdos.”

Horstmann — who previously competed on the 31-year-old Minnesota native’s season — briefly rekindled his onscreen romance with Kufrin before her BiP stint, though the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast host has asserted the pair were just pals.

“Blake and I have always been friends. We’ve always been supportive of one another,” the Bourdon founder said on an August episode of the “Click Bait” podcast. “In terms of the ‘talking,’ yeah, we’ve been in touch very sporadically, but nothing that I would say would warrant … a potential relationship.”

Weeks later, the “Behind the Rose” podcast host hinted there was more to the story.

“Honestly, at this point, it’s just, like, something I don’t know if I even want to waste my breath. I just feel, like, at this point, it’s just a waste of time,” Horstmann revealed during a September episode of his “Behind the Rose” podcast. “Listen, I was hurt by the podcast [interview]. …  Like, you said, it’s no secret that we were hanging out prior. I don’t think it was some secret — like, [it] wasn’t at all. More than anything, I was hurt by it.”

He continued, “I think the people — my friends — certainly know the truth. I think most of the people in Bachelor world know the truth, her friends sure as s–t know the truth. So it’s like, it is what it is.”

Since the former publicist’s time on the Paradise beach, she’s since rekindled her onscreen romance with the San Diego native.

“You know what they say…Third time’s a charm,” Kufrin captioned an Instagram video of the pair, shortly after the BiP finale aired. “I’m sorry for breaking up with you on national television, but I’ll take every day to make it up to you, Tommy. Thanks for making my heart smile far more than it ever has. Now time to start this real life @thomasajacobs.”
